Whether it is racial or sexual harassment, stalking, bullying at work or neighbours from hell, harassment is clearly an important legal and social topic.

This web site has been designed to provide practical information and relevant web links for anyone who is the victim of harassment or who has been wrongly accused of harassment. It has been prepared by Barrister Neil Addison . I am a practising lawyer and co-author of the leading text books covering this area of law. The information and legislation in the site primarily relates to the law in England and Wales though there are links to relevant sites in other jurisdictions. The site is updated regularly as new cases or reports on harassment law appear and are added.

Where harassment does occur it is often difficult for the victim to prove because there may be little physical evidence of what has happened. For the same reason however it is often difficult for persons to defend themselves against false or malicious accusations of harassment behaviour.

Striking the right balance between these two conflicting problems is the essence of Harassment Law.
